The main responsibility of this role is to support the efficient loading and offloading of seafood products within the cold storage facility. The successful candidate will ensure that all handling is done according to company procedures, without compromising food safety, hygiene standards, or product quality. Working in a cold environment requires focus, discipline, and a strong commitment to maintaining safety regulations at all times.

Daily duties will include moving stock, packing and organizing products, assisting with dispatch processes, and ensuring that all goods are handled carefully to avoid damage. Maintaining cleanliness in the work area and following strict food safety guidelines will be essential. Attention to detail is critical to ensure correct stock handling and to prevent losses or errors.

The ideal candidate should be physically fit and capable of working in a demanding environment. You must be able to manage multiple tasks, work efficiently under pressure, and meet deadlines consistently. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are important, along with a high level of honesty, reliability, and professionalism.

In addition, candidates should demonstrate problem-solving abilities, be self-motivated, and able to work independently when required. A willingness to learn new systems and adapt to changes within the workplace will be highly beneficial. Teamwork is also important, as you will be working closely with other staff members to ensure smooth daily operations.

This position is best suited for individuals residing within a 30 km radius of Phillippi, as proximity to the workplace is a key requirement.
